There are so many reasons why you should stretch, especially if you train. Here are some of my top ones:
• Stretching regularly improves range of motion in the joints. This will reduce the risk of injuries in the muscles and the joints.
• Stretching can help relieve stress. Muscle tightness is usually associated with stress, so doing deep breathing exercises as you stretch will help you feel more relaxed.
• Stretching improves blood flow to the muscles and joints, which will help nutrients get to them and make you recover faster. It will reduce soreness and even make you feel a bit more energetic as more blood will reach your muscles and brain.
