Little clip from some block work this weekend.
Not gonna lie, the workout didn’t feel great.
“There is no such thing as overtraining, only underrecovery.”
When you train hard and often, it might happen that you feel overtrained. Depending on if it’s from volume or intensity, it will affect your sleep, your appetite, your mood and your performance in different ways. It is very important to keep track of how your body reacts to different stimuli in order to maximize the results you want.
In my case, I’ve been working a lot and working on different projects so I haven’t been able to sleep enough. Muscles are not recovering as well, but the main thing I feel is that my nervous system is always fatigued.
With 11 days to go before my race, I will start to reduce the volume of intense workouts (and focus on improving recovery) in order to perform well when it matters.
Very often, we plan things a certain way, but then life happens and we have to adapt. That’s the way it is. Just try to listen to what your body is telling you, and to be good to your health.
